EPISODE SYNOPSIS
Liz meets Jack's agoraphobic, wealthy friend Gavin Volure (played by Steve Martin) at a dinner party at his home, as well as John McEnroe. He is smitten with her and escapes the house to see her, only for Liz to discover that he's house bound because of a court order and not a fear of people. She rejects his advances. He's been charged with embezzlement which makes Jack nervous because he convinced Kevin to invest in Gavin's latest scheme. Tracy thinks his children are out to kill him, so he uses a dummy to trick them. He's wrong, but the dummy proves useful in getting rid of Gavin.
