EPISODE SYNOPSIS
Liz, upon Cerie's suggestion, goes to Jack to see if they should exchange gifts with one another. Jack is open to the idea and Liz is surprised that he doesn't just want to tell her what he wants. He wants to surprise her. Jonathan warns Liz that Jack is the best gift giver ever. Jack also lets Liz know that GE just acquired 'YouFace' a social networking site. All the executives are required to get pages and he gets "fingertapped" by an old friend from high school - Nancy Donovan. She's coming to New York with her kids and wants to see him.

Pete asks Danny to sing with Jenna after he hears what a good singer Danny is. He wants to ruin Jenna's spotlight because Jenna never gets a gift for the cleaning lady. When Jenna finds out she's upset and tells Danny that singing Christmas carols was the only thing that got her through the holidays when she was a kid. She'd sing while her mom would shoplift.

Twofer, Lutz and Frank want to avoid Kenneth's gift exchange. They tell him that they are Verdookians and don't celebrate Christmas. They make up a bunch of arbitrary rules, like going to the movies on Merlinpeen, and Kenneth tries to help them celebrate. When Tracy tells Kenneth that the religion is made up, he begins to wonder if every religion is made up and loses his faith in God - especially when the writer's aren't punished They try to tell him they want to participate but his faith is broken.

Jack spends the day with Nancy and he begins to think about what it would have been like to stay in his hometown. She is on the outs with her husband and it's obvious she and Jack have chemistry. Cherie shows Jack that Nancy changed her YouFace relationship status from "working on it" to "weirdly." He talks with Liz about it, who has tried to get Jack a tie but finds he has the same one already. They decide to get each other "creative" gifts.

Later Jack sees Nancy off, and things seem unresolved. She has to catch the train back to Boston and he's sad. Liz tries to sing a made up song to him but them quits...it's not a good enough creative gift. Jack is alone in his office and Nancy shows up. Her train was delayed. She accepts his offer to go get a drink and says that it would be appropriate to have a thank you kiss...as long as its high school style - no tongue. He goes to tell Liz the news and gives her a framed ticket from the mixed gender Crucible she starred in during high school. She tells him that she called in a bomb threat to the train station so Jack could have more time with Nancy.

Danny sings terribly on camera to make Jenna feel better, and Pete is crushed. His revenge on Jenna failed. Twofer, Lutz and Frank are all tasered in the writer's room by the police because Liz made the bomb threat from their phone. Kenneth sees and thinks it's a Christmas miracle and that God does exist.
