| ...The whole cast and crew are feeling the "winter blahs" so Pete hatches a plan to take the entire show to Miami. Jack loves the idea but changes the location to Boston so he can see his friend Nancy Donovan. After their Christmas time kiss, the two have kept in touch but he still doesn't know if she's planning on staying married to her husband. When they arrive, Nancy reveals that her husband moved to New Orleans and she's left with an empty nest. If she can sell her house, she can get a divorce. Jack sends Kenneth and Cerie over during the open house to make an offer on the house (posing as a married couple). Later that night, Nancy confesses that she did get an offer but didn't take it. She's not ready to change her life so drastically. Jack tells her he'll wait, but not forever.
Meanwhile, the crew is upset about everything once they arrive and start to blame Liz. She invents a fake executive at NBC and tells them that he's the reason they are Boston, and the reason for everything else bad that happens to them. She thought she made the name up but realizes that she actually read the name off of a door in the Boston office. Frank discovers this person's office and leads the whole crew up there. Liz stays quiet while Lutz gives the man, who doesn't know who they are, the truffle shuffle.
Tracy is worried about traveling because he always gets in trouble on the road. While on a historic tour, he gets in an argument with the John Adams impersonation about the constitution making all people free. The next day he goes back for more and tells the man that patriots suck...just as a group of Patriots fans walk by. They attack and Tracy runs for his life. |
